Fillers, Botox or Ulthera? Choosing a Non-Surgical Treatment That Suits Your Face

Ten years ago, most people who wanted to look fresher had two choices: creams or surgery. Today there’s a wide middle ground of treatments that take less than an hour and need little or no downtime. The catch is that the options can be confusing, and the right one depends on what’s actually changing in your face.

Lines from movement: Botox

Botulinum toxin relaxes the muscles that cause expression lines, such as frown lines between the brows, forehead lines and crow’s feet. It works best on lines that appear when you move your face. Results start to show within a few days and generally last a few months, after which the treatment is repeated. Done well, it softens lines without freezing expression.

Non-Surgical Treatment

Lost volume: dermal fillers

As we age, the face loses fat and bone support, which leads to hollows and folds. Fillers, usually based on hyaluronic acid, restore that volume. They’re used in several specific areas:

  • Under-eye filler for hollows that make you look tired
  • Nasolabial filler for the lines running from the nose to the corners of the mouth
  • Jawline filling to sharpen a soft or undefined jaw
  • Nose filling to smooth a bump or lift the tip without surgery

Hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved if needed, which is part of why they’re so widely used. Experience matters a great deal here, especially around the eyes and nose.

Sagging skin: thread lift and Ulthera

When the issue is skin that has started to drop rather than lines or hollows, other tools come in. A thread lift uses dissolvable threads placed under the skin to lift tissue and stimulate collagen. Ulthera uses focused ultrasound to heat deeper layers of the skin without breaking the surface, which encourages gradual tightening over the following months. Neither replaces a surgical facelift, but both can help people with mild to moderate laxity.

Skin quality: PRP and mesotherapy

Some treatments aim at the skin itself, its texture, glow and hydration. PRP uses platelets from your own blood to support repair. Mesotherapy delivers vitamins, hyaluronic acid and other ingredients directly into the skin with fine injections. These are often done as a series.

Stubborn fat: lipolysis and cryolipolysis

For small pockets of fat that won’t shift with diet and exercise, injection lipolysis breaks down fat cells chemically, while cryolipolysis (Cool-tech) freezes them. Both are for contouring, not weight loss.

Planning your visit

Many of these treatments fit easily into a short trip. Orista Healthcare arranges a consultation with aesthetic doctors at our contracted clinics in Türkiye, who will assess your face and suggest a plan, which may combine more than one treatment.
